Lawrence Global School celebrated the Teej festival on the school campus .Students were
dressed up in traditional Punjabi dresses and looked amazingly good.
The school was very well decorated according to the theme with a nicely done-up swing, a well
from where the teachers drew water, a spinning wheel, a dhol, a earthern pot, embroided bed
covers, traditional cots and fans.
Giddha was performed by girls and teachers and kids were seen riding on the swings as per the
tradition. The excitement of the children was the best part of the day. Addressing the kids, the
principal of the school, Mrs. Pallavi Sharma, talked about the importance of the day and
conveyed a message that motto of organising various cultural activities was to help students to
relate and bond them with their culture.
